In 'Signs and Borders' CABIN/ET explores the threshold between subject and object, map and territory.
Clare Stent traces contour maps of the cities of the world, in this case London, recording a subliminal reality hidden below the buildings.
Camilla Lyon creates objects by tracing the grain of found Formica furniture, producing objects delineated by their decorative surface.
In 'Border Town' Tom Wolseley uses a kaleidoscopic view of the main street of a small Mexican/US border town to explore the 'border' as an intersection more complex than a line in space.
